Recovery Church San Carlos Park is a welcoming Christian community dedicated to supporting individuals in recovery from addiction. Through Jesus, the Twelve Steps, worship, biblical teaching, and authentic fellowship, we provide a safe and nurturing environment where people can grow spiritually and find lasting freedom. Our mission is to bridge the gap between Alcoholics Anonymous and the faith-based community, offering hope, healing, and a sense of belonging to all who are seeking a fresh start in Christ. We invite you to explore our programs, join us in prayer, and partner with us through volunteering or donations, helping expand this life-changing ministry. Jail Ministry

Fresh Start Jail Ministry, in partnership with Recovery Church, is dedicated to bringing hope, restoration, and transformation to individuals who are incarcerated. We help them discover God’s love, understand their purpose to worship Him, and guide them toward a Christ-centered life. Through our ministry, participants are introduced to discipleship, spiritual guidance, and the support of a faith-based community, empowering them to experience lasting change and renewal. Motivated by a genuine love for the lost and inspired by the message of Luke 15, we seek to reach those who may feel forgotten and provide them with the tools and encouragement to walk in freedom. We invite those in need of support to connect with our ministry and encourage our community, donors, and prayer partners to join us in this transformative work, helping to expand our reach and impact.

Homeless Ministry

Fresh Start Ministry partners with local organizations, including St. Matthew’s House, David Lawrence Center, Teen Challenge, and other safe housing programs, to serve the homeless in South Fort Myers. Through our Recovery and Jail Ministries, we provide mentorship, spiritual guidance, practical support, and access to basic needs and safe housing, helping individuals experience lasting restoration, purpose, and hope in Christ. By collaborating with the Better Together ministry and Kimmy Zone, we strengthen our community impact and expand the reach of these life-changing programs. We invite those in need of support to connect with our ministry and encourage others to join us in prayer or consider partnering financially to help grow and sustain this transformative work. Training

Fresh Start Ministry provides comprehensive training to equip individuals to serve others in recovery, jail, and homeless outreach. Our program offers instruction in mentorship, addiction recovery principles, trauma-informed care, spiritual guidance, and practical support skills, helping participants grow in their walk with Christ through hands-on discipleship guided by Matthew 25:35–36. Men and women also have access to Biblical counseling, offering guidance, support, and spiritual growth rooted in Scripture, equipping them to experience lasting transformation and bring hope, restoration, and the love of Christ to others. Through these efforts, we aim to restore purpose, dignity, and faith to those facing life’s greatest challenges. We invite you to learn more about our programs, partner with us in prayer, and support our mission through donations, helping us expand this life-changing work in our community.

Bringing Hope and Healing in Christ to the Broken.

About our Founder

Chris Menchini is the founder and director of Fresh Start Ministry and Recovery Church San Carlos Park, ministries dedicated to bringing hope, healing, and transformation to men and women struggling with addiction, incarceration, and homelessness. Having personally experienced incarceration and encountered Christ through reading the Bible, Chris knows firsthand the power of God’s love to transform lives. This personal journey fuels his passion to walk alongside others in similar struggles, guiding them toward freedom, purpose, and restoration through Jesus Christ.

Under Chris’s leadership, Fresh Start Ministry and Recovery Church have grown into safe, welcoming communities where individuals can experience God’s grace, grow spiritually, and take tangible steps toward lasting transformation. Through recovery programs, mentorship, discipleship, spiritual guidance, and practical support, the ministry equips people to rebuild their lives and embrace a Christ-centered future.

Chris’s vision extends beyond individual transformation—he seeks to unite the broader community in this work of restoration. Donors, volunteers, and prayer partners play a vital role in helping expand the reach of these life-changing programs, providing hope, dignity, and opportunity to those who need it most. By supporting Fresh Start Ministry and Recovery Church, partners can directly impact lives, restore families, strengthen communities, and help bring the love of Christ to those the world often overlooks.
